Nike and Apple settle Fuelband Class Action Lawsuit

nikefuelbandIn the courthouse battle against two powerhouses, Apple and Nike may have saved millions of dollars to their attorneys by calling it quits. Apple and Nike reached a settlement for customers who purchased a Fuelband between January 19, 2012 to June 17, 2015 can receive a $15 cash payment or $25 gift card redeemable at a Nike Store in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and online. The claims deadline is Jan. 4, 2016.

You have the option to opt out of the class action and bring forth a lawsuit against Nike and Apple. The class action was known as Levin V. Nike, Inc. et al. Case number BC509363. Interestingly, Apple will not be obligated to pay any financial settlement based on this.
