iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus created a shocking news for the smartphone industry. It again proves that what Apple lacked in the past few years was a smartphone with bigger display. The “bigger than bigger” iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus received support from the consumer market immediately after the announcement dated 9.9.2014 at Flint Centre where the two models and Apple Watches were revealed.
Sources in China pointed out that, unlike the launch of iPhone 5s same time last year which received only 9 million preorders on the first day, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus received 16 million preorders in one day. This stunning figure must have shocked Apple Inc because this will cost around 1/4 of this first batch of production orders from Foxconn…etc. Some sources claimed that Apple is about to make 70 million units in their first order. And just for information, it took manufacturers 25 days to complete 10 million units of Samsung Galaxy S5.
The strong response comes especially from the strong demand outside the US. China is missing out from the first and second list of countries getting the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Speculators in Hong Kong are prepared to make huge profit from selling the iPhone 6 to mainlanders as well as Russia and other countries needing unlocked units.
We are coming closer and closer to the launch date on 19.9.2014 and let’s wait and see the latest development.
