Sony has today released its latest wearable Android smart watch. Together in this release was the Xperia Z Ultra. The smartwatch 2 was released as an accessory of the Z Ultra (NFC connection).
The smartwatch 2 is groundbreaking improvement from its previous model and it has built-in Android system, multi-touch screen, NFC, Bluetooth and also most importantly IPX7 water-proof standard. Sony claimed more than 200 applications will work on the Smartwatch 2 but should be connected to the Xperia Z Ultra or other supporting models. Users can enjoy music, texting and answering calls with the smartwatch 2. THe samrtwatch 2 can also act as a shutter for the camera of Xperia Z Ultra.
However, this still doesn’t make the Smart Watch 2 a standalone device as it still relies heavily on the smartphone for most of the computing. It may show basic things on the watch but it might not be able to do a lot of stuff at all. The next thing to worry about is its battery though.
