Apple just released the iOS 6.1.3 which aims at plugging the loopholes caused by the lock screen security breach by dialing emergency number. We’ve talked about the alleged security breach before and finally an official update from Apple has fixed this problem.
Aside the update fixing the security problems with iOS, one underlying meaning of the iOS 6.1.3 is to ban evasi0n’s jailbreak for iOS 6.x versions. Musclenerd, one of the team members of the evasi0n, said the Apple in its latest iOS update has plugged 4 out of 6 loopholes they used to perform jail break on iOS devices, meaning that the iOS evasi0n jailbreak is now void. Therefore, if you have jailbroken your iOS device, don’t update it now until later notice.
Pod2g, musclenerd, planetbeing and pimakeks still have no clues when the iOS jailbreak 6.1.3 will come out. We will have to wait for that. Planetbeing said they have mastered some other weak points in iOS which will be used to jailbreak iOS 7.
