Cyanogen Mod is not going to support Samsung Galaxy S IV (GS4)

CyanogenMod is the most popular Android ROM that is able to replace the original Android OS on the smartphone sold with it. CyanogenMod is also said to be of the best quality among the other available options. Indeed, the CyanogenMod follows quickly the original Android OS’s development and improve the Android in many ways. BUT, if you are considering purchasing the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S IV, you might need to think twice before action this time.

Yes, some customers don’t like Samsung TouchWiz, HTC Sense …etc these User interface might not suit them at best. Sadly, the Samsung Team of CyanogenMod – TeamHacksung said today that they are not going to make the modification support the GS4. The reason is simply that their team members have no plans to buy GS4 plus it is difficult to develop a mod for Samsung’s product. Some problems that have appeared on GS3 might recur on the GS4.

As for the team’s stance on the S4, there isn’t one at this time, and most definitely won’t be one before the device is sold at retail.

However, from the Google + official page of the CyanogenMod, they said that they haven’t decided if they will work on GS4 compatibility and it seems “hope is still there”. If you are looking forward to Rooting and installing custom ROM on your GS4, stay tuned!
