Aside the high technology product such as Galaxy S IV which will be revealed shortly on 14.3.2013, Samsung also gives attention to Lower end market. Sources claimed that Samsung will release the next generation of Galaxy Pocket – Galaxy Pocket Neo in May 2013.
Samsung Galaxy Pocket is a smartphone with extremely low price tag and basic technical specifications. If you or your child need a phone with very basic requirement, you might consider getting one. But if you are heavy user of smartphone, I suggest not to buy the Galaxy Pocket because it is not for heavy use anyways.
The Pocket Neo will be divided into two versions – GT-S5310 and GT-S5312. And the second one is a duo-sim version ideal for frequent travelers.
The Pocket Series are mainly lower-end smartphones for customers with various use. The basic technical specifications include 3.0 inch 240 x 320 display, 2 mega pixel rear camera and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The pocket Neo will support Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0 and WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n.
Other than Galaxy Pocket Neo, Samsung is also working on a similar model called the Galaxy Star GT-S5282 with the same size of 3 inch screen but running on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean system.
