Microsoft’s windows RT and windows 8 has been revealed and shipped not long ago. However, its larger size 10.6-inch tablet may not suit the markets needs. Microsoft CFO Peter Kline said on Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet Conference that demands for a smaller size tablet is huge. Windows tablet will also follow the market’s lead and produce models suiting customers changing taste accordingly.

Kline said that Microsoft will develop a display solution to let its operating system automatically adjust and fit on different sizes, including 4-inch, 5-inch, 7-inch, 10-inch, 13-inch, even on 27-inch tablets. They will work with manufacturers to provide a complete ecosystem for windows tablets. Windows 8 and windows phone 8 will share the same state core which can be run on different tablets across different hardware specifications.

There were also rumors of Xbox surface tablet to be a 7-inch windows-powered tablet. HTC will also announce its first 7-inch windows tablet on the MWC later this month.
