Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 Released For Nexus Devices

Whats better than one Jelly Bean? MORE JELLY BEANS!

Lame jokes aside, Google has released a new update for Android to follow up the 4.2.1 release. 4.2.2 has been released for the Nexus 4, 7, 10, and Galaxy Nexus devices in both OTA and factory image flavors.

This release is mainly aimed at fixing the numerous bugs that came along with 4.2 when it launched. Most notably, people are reporting speed improvements (especially with Chrome) as well as a much longer battery life. There is also some updated “features” included, like certain Quick Settings buttons becoming toggle-able and Android ADB Debugging requiring the screen to be unlocked.

For only being a .1 bump, this update has come packing a lot of new stuff. Google continues to impress users by actively trying to make the best platform they can. I can’t wait to see what kinds of new and innovative things come along with the xphone!
