Apple’s official support page has a hot topic recently: a considerable amount of users, who updated their devices to iOS 6.1, reveal that their iPhones have been experiencing shorter battery lives and overheating. The source of problems remain unknown at the moment. Some of the users have their issues resolved by hitting factory settings.

Vodafone UK sent a reminder to iPhone 4S users warning them not to update to iOS 6.1 because the 3G network is affected by the update causing the battery drain. It is believed that the problem is not limited to Vodafone and iPhone 4S users.

Apple always think battery life of iPhone is a selling point. But I always disagree with it – they never tell you the battery capacity of the iPhone! It is disappointing that the battery performance of especially iPhone 5 is always falling behind expectation and the pledge Apple made on their announcement event. Apple should really think about it!
