Instagram: Now On Your Computer

Instagram: Now On Your Computer

This seems a bit backwards but it’s true. The long time mobile only application now finally has a desktop browser version.

The site now features a newsfeed where people can view and interact with other images on the web. They are no longer limited to the mobile interface before. Previously, Instagram was an exclusive club for all the “cool kids” with smart phones. Occasionally you could interact with people via their Facebook pages, but you couldn’t really interact via the Instagram website.

The implementation is not perfect though. You still cannot upload pictures directly via the web. You still need that smartphone to PARTICIPATE, but you can view it just fine from your desktop or laptop computer.

Kudos to Facebook for making instagram less elitist.
