Vine Is Cool, But Missing Something Important!

Vine – according to Apple it’s a NSFW content viewer. According to most users it’s a gif factory. According to Facebook, it’s Twitters grubby hands.

I tested it out on an iPad tonight. Why an iPad? Well I own an Android device. Vine isn’t available. I borrowed my grandmothers iPad to try this out. Needless to say we had a blast with it but we noticed a critical flaw in the app.

Hey. Where the heck is the button to use the front facing camera?

I understand how stupid taking pictures on an iPad looks. I try to avoid it whenever possible. This app forces me to. It intentionally makes me look like a moron. I don’t like it. I’d much rather make silly 6 second gifs with the front facing camera. It’s easier to watch myself making stupid faces and get every stupid face done perfectly. It ends up being a little difficult to make a duck face when you’re holding an unweildly iPad in the air trying to hit the middle of the screen for one second.

Anyways that’s the point of this post. Not very thought provoking or ground breaking material. I just want to use the front facing camera with Vine. I also want to use Vine with my Galaxy Nexus, but that’s a different story.

If anybody is curious about what my stupid faces are, here’s a link.

Here’s another link to a random stop motion video I made. This could be fun.
