New Fix For LAG On Android Devices!

Everyone using an Android phone has probably run in to a bit of lag every now and then. While it has gotten much better on more recent Android phones (especially since Project Butter with version 4.1), It is still noticeable for some people.

For me personally, my phone would slow down and become fairly laggy after a number of days of continuous heavy use. While the lag would sometimes disappear after a reboot and not using it overnight, sometimes it was still there. The lag seemed to be random.

A new application from XDA user AuxLV hopes to fix this lag. Without getting too technical, the cause of some lag (particularly on Nexus devices) is that essentially the phone is not clearing memory efficiently enough. This new application clears that memory manually. If you want to learn more about how the application works, check out the thread over at XDA.

In my own preliminary tests, there was a slight boost in speed. I don’t know if this is a placebo effect or not. The app is based on legitimate data but I never really had terrible slowdowns to begin with. Some people are claiming a massive speed boost though, so it may be worth checking out.

If you are an ADVANCED USER, you’re running a rooted phone made in 2012 or later, and you want to give this app a shot, it’s available for FREE on the Google Play store. Again, My Phone Daily is not responsible for any damage that comes from using this application.

If you do choose to use this application, let us know your thoughts down in the comments!
