The launch of Galaxy Nexus raised concerned for the rest of Samsung mobile’s models such as Galaxy S II and Galaxy, the recently hot gadgets in US and Hong Kong, whether they will receive an upgrade to Android 4.0.
Samsung Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note ( has been released in Hong Kong three days ago) have good hardware and many are asking if they are going to support Android 4.0, which will bring huge interface change to the whole user experience. Samsung considered the highest priority as getting the operating system on devices that would support it and only then evaluating its lower-end devices. Unluckily, the Original Galaxy or other lower models will not have the chance for an upgrade Samsung is yet to reveal the hardware baseline for the 4.0 upgrade, Samsung says that any device looking for an upgrade must have at least WVGA 400X800 to receive the upgrade, some models like Galaxy Y is confirmed not to be supported.
We will find out more in the CES 2012 in January next year.
