There are two major but minor changes (According to CNET):

1. the antennas have moved around the edge of the stainless steel band

2. the ambient light sensor or ALS has moved to the left several millimeters

The first change won’t be a big deal to cases because it won’t interfere. However, the major change would be the light sensor which is moved slightly. Some case covering the front of iPhone 4 might block the sensor of iPhone 4S. Here are some examples:

Apparently these kinds of Full-body armor for iPhone 4 might block the iPhone 4S light sensor. the Blockage of light sensor might cause several problems such as failure to automatically adjust brightness…etc. Case companies are adjusting their cases to suit the changes, the major change might be making the cutout bigger.

So if you are considering buying a case for your iPhone 4S, be careful. Do pay attention to those full-body case to see if they support iPhone 4S. For the rest, like the iPhone 4 Bunker will not be a problem!
