Unwire.hk has obtained that huge Galaxy Mega 6.3 inch for a hands on preview. This phablet is even bigger than the Galaxy Note 2 but without the S-pen. It has the same design as the Galaxy S4.

We found that the Mega has one missing sensor than the GS4. It is 199g heavier than the GS4 given it is a lot bigger than it. The editors found it a bit difficult Continue Reading →

Looks like people are getting more interested in turning their mobile smarphones to gaming devices. From the Samsung Galaxy S4 announcement in New York Radio city, they have already released an interesting accessory which is the Samsung Gamepad that allows up to 6.2 inches units to be snapped on with a controller.
If you play fighting or first person shooter games on smartphones, you will definitely want to look at the controllers because it doesn’t really feel right when you play on a touch screen however big the size it is.
There are reportedly some new information surrounding the development of smartphone game controllers recently that is the Logitech developing an iPhone 5 game pad which allows you to plug your iPhone 5 inside and act as a screen for it. Back in the WWDC 2013, Apple had announced that their latest iOS 7 is on its way to support MFi game controllers so as to provide users with gaming experience similar to nds and also the latest PS Vita.
The leaked image shows a Logitech game controller for iPhone 5. Based on the lighting cable dock design, we suspect this will be used for iPhone 5 and iPod touch 5th generation.

When Facebook home launched, people were excited how the chatheads work on their android devices. After a few months, there are finally some developera who study the principle behind Facebook chat heads and develop their own application that can show pop up notifications from all kinds of apps in the form of Facebook home. As it offers a 30-day trial version, it worths a try. We downloaded it via the Google playstore and installed it immediately.
The application didn’t work instantly because you have to go through a lot of readme and also user manual on setting. Finally We turned the pop-up notification on in the accessibility settings. Here We encountered a minor problem when turning on the floating notification which was actually not bug of the app itself but android. Anyway, if you experience error messages in this step, you can follow the instructions and turn off all assessibility options thee turn the FN on FIRST before clicking other options. There you go you can now turn back to the application and start customizing your own floating notification.

I turned on almost all the social media applications including whatsapp, LINE, wechat, viber… you name it but except Facebook messenger because I fear that they may crash my GS4.

In the next step, you can edit your chatheads to suit your own need. You can adjust the size of the chat heads and also the font of the text displayed once clicked.
We you are all set, you will start receiving notifications once you get pushed messages from the servers. The chat head will appear simultaneously as the notification bar. You can drag the chat head all around. It will appear at the same location you last used. To close a chat head, simply tab twice and it will disappear. To open the related application, you will need to tab on the message box below the icon. The icon will never go away unless you close it. No matter what you are doing, they will always be on top of your application currently in use. For example when I was playing Iron Man 3,.the whatsapp chat head appears and it won’t hault my game. Could simply continue with whatever you are doing.

The floating notification is designed for light users who enjoy browsing and texting with their smartphone. But as the chat heads will take up quite a portion of your screen when it pops out, smartphone gamers might not like it blocking some important spots. It is entirely up to you if you are not sure if you can accept the chat head floating around, you can go for a trial before paying it.
