iPhone 5S is celebrating its 1.5 month old this week but many rumours online are starting to dig out problems with it. Aside an explosion spread yesterday from China, another netizen was quoted as saying that the iPhone 5S he held experienced unexpected noise on the retina display after using the social networking application wechat. The noise covered almost half of the screen and was persistent after quitting the application. So far there was only, again, one incident with the iPhone 5S and it cannot constitute a substantial evidence that iPhone 5S has manufacturing flaws.
A vivid blue version of the metallic HTC one is now available in Hong Kong after the red model was released months ago. The vivid blue HTC one will be available with a 32GB internal storage and it will be sold at the same price $5,398.
An iPhone 5S was reportedly exploded during the user’s sleep in China, accessing to reports of tencent technology blog. As this is the first reported accident happened around two months after iPhone 5S initial launch. We wonder if this will affect consumers’ confidence in Apple.
A man in Gueiyang City, Guei Zhou Province fell asleep and was awakened by a sharp explosion sound. He opened his eyes and found grey smoke surrounding his space grey iPhone 5S. The iPhone 5S was burnt seriously afterwards and the marks on the ruined phone seemed like a radioactive explosion mark. The owner alleged that no flammable objects was around the iPhone 5S at the moment of the accident. Experts in phone technology said that it was due to a faulty battery.
Yet, whether this incident is true remains unknown. Up till now there was only one photo being circulated. Therefore, the purported explosion may not be true and it doesn't affect Apple's credibility.
Apple has been declining its reliance on Samsung as a component provider due to its ongoing legal disputes with Samsung. Apple did have mentioned that they would reduce over-reliance on the products of Samsung and procure parts and components from elsewhere. However, rumours purport that Apple is not honouring its pledge.
Apple is said to be in discussion with Samsung for a new batches of Retina Displays, which were currently supplied by LG and Sharp. The two providers seem to fall short of the enormous market demand for Apple products, resulting in Apple’s need for urgent backup from Samsung. Its CEO Tim Cook, mentioned earlier that they would not have enough stocks of iPad mini. Quoted as saying the expected failure to meet demand, Cook was thought to be implying that they don’t have enough Retina Display.

It was said that the Android 4.4 Kitkat and Nexus 5 is going to be unleashed at the Google announcement on 28.10.2013. Accidentally, Google wanted people to be interested so they leaked the google Nexus 5 on their play store.
The price is Nexus 5 is found to be $349 USD for its 16gb entry level device. As a smartphone equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, the price of three hundred sounds very nice and budget.
However, the price $349 won’t mean that it will be final in overseas. In Hong Kong, this device might be sold at $549.

Samsung has confirmed that they will offer free battery exchange for Galaxy S4 owners who find battery life issues with their batteries including swelling batteries.
Samsung earlier acknowledged this problem and said there were limited number of customers were affected. The customers can pay a visit to the nearest Samsung Electronics Center and have a replacement battery free of charge.
Some reports did claim that the actual number of battery packs after by the selling issue is larger than Samsung expected. Mobiflip claimed that 30% of GS4 units purchased from a German supplier have faulty batteries. It is considered horrific for a 6-month old smartphone which aims at the higher class of customers. Failing to tell the public a number in their reports, Samsung should be liable to some news mentioning swelling and even explosion with the flagship device they developed.

Both gsmarena and gadgets ndtv pointed out that the there are rumours that Samsung will release its 2014 flagship phone – the Samsung Galaxy S5 in the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January 2014. The GS5, being rumoured to be released 3 months earlier, is going to feature anti-dust and water-proof technologies just like what they did with the Galaxy S4 Active. The Active was not available worldwide up till now therefore the S5 might be in place to arrive earlier. The S5 is allegedly powered up with a Samsung Exynos 6 4+4 core processor supporting 64 bit proceeding speed like the iPhone 5S. It will be 100% more efficient than its older version on the GS4 but whether the 8 cores could run at the same time remains unclear. Other than the internal specifications, rumours such as curved OLED as well as 3GB RAM were accumulating popularity.
